We tried hard to save The Stride from closure but this just didn’t work out. The full commercial leasehold conditions imposed by the landlord Havant Borough Council severely affected growth and prosperity for the past six years, causing the leaseholder to call it a day.
Efforts by us to provide the funds and operating team needed to inject more life into the centre and give it a real chance of continuing to serve the community were not accepted. However, the landlord has taken back the lease and reopened the Centre. We wish well all who become involved with this very important facility in the future.
