The Station Theatre

Station Theatre ChristmasChristmas is just around the corner and it is almost panto season so folks at Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society are ‘moseying’ on down to the Station Theatre for rehearsals, set building, costume making, puppet making, singing and dancing practice. Yes, it’s a western: ‘Panto at the OK Corral’ by Jim Sperink, traditional in form but with characters from the Wild West.

Clint Westwood rides into town seeking revenge on Sheriff Small Holding and his deputies Butch Casserole and the Sun-tanned Kid. He encounters Dame Winnie Pegg and her children Calamity Jane and James the Jesse with their horse Lightning. He meets saloon bar owner Diamond Lil and her girls Buttons and Bows and locals Running Bare, Goldie Nuggets and Buffalo Bill (“on account of the way ah smell”).

Suitable for the whole family, the show opens on 12th December and runs until 19th December with matinees on the two Saturdays. Tickets are £8 and children £6 (matinees book up fast!). They are available from the box office at the Station Theatre on Hayling Island open from 10.00am to noon Monday to Saturday, on 023 9246 6363 or online at www.stationtheatre.co.uk
