The human form is perhaps one of the most versatile, unique and challenging subjects to capture in art. At The Spring we are working with Artist Nic Cowper to run a series of workshops and a one off special in which participants can try their hand at depicting both the male and female body with different media and techniques.
Painting in shadow: suggesting form through exploration of low lights Friday 6, 13, 20, 27 June and 4 July Nic will also be leading a five-week series of Life Drawing workshops on Fridays from 6 June to 4 July, from 7.30–9pm. This series of workshops will give participants the opportunity to experiment with different media and techniques, learn new skills and explore their artistic side. Using single density media, such as ink, paint, cut paper or charcoal, participants will explore ways to trick the mind into perceiving form from the most basic marks. Students will uncover a new way of looking at the human form!
