Internet and email – How to get online, carry out a basic search, stay safe and email others
Social media – centred around overcoming isolation and staying safe from cyber bullying
Basic computing – finding your way around a computer and word processing
Managing a budget – centred around handling finances and budgeting
Confidence building - entry level – building confidence and self esteem
Developing confidence - includes planning for future improvement.
Preparation for volunteering – getting to ready to be a volunteer, what skills do you have and what rights/responsibilities do volunteers have?
Managing life change – understand that life changes and where you are in that process. The emotional responses to change and coping strategies, crating a personal action plan
Basic cookery – food safety, basic cooking skills, understanding nutrition and reading food labels, balanced budget meals
Arts and crafts – various form 3 hour workshops to 12 GLH courses
Functional skills – managing money, reading, writing, comprehension practice, filling in forms, reading time tables, telling the time. Can be adjusted to meet the needs of the cohort of learners.
