Barbie and IngridBARRIE AND INGRID TEMPLE – perfected harmony!
WEDNESDAY 13 MAY Barrie and Ingrid are well-established harmony singers from Newcastle upon Tyne with superb voices. Their stirring songs are mainly traditional (both serious and humorous) with original arrangements and accompaniment by Barrie on English concertina and guitar. They also sing Barrie’s songs, written in traditional style, many of which have been recorded by other performers both here and abroad. Their warm personalities and Geordie humour as they chat and sing to their audience ensure a lively, engaging performance, ‘like friends singing to friends’ as one Folk Club organiser put it. www.barrieandingrid.co.uk

Bob FoxBOB FOX – Don’t miss!
WEDNESDAY 10 JUNE After three years playing the role of Songman in War Horse - first in the West End and then on tour - Durham-based Bob Fox is back on the folk circuit and we have been lucky enough to secure an early date. Bob is blessed with ‘one of the best voices in England’ (Ralph McTell) - full of life and clarity. He is also a very talented musician who plays guitar, piano and dulcimer. Add to that a full and varied repertoire of traditional and modern songs as well as plenty of good ‘crack’ and you can be sure of a good night full of warmth and humour. “one of the truly great voices from the North East with musicianship second to none” (Vin Garbutt).
