Evening at The Elms

With summer just around the corner, village greens across Hampshire will be treated to the sound of leather on willow with the start of the 2017 cricket season. It is also the start of another season of Evening at The Elms talks in Bedhampton beginning on Tuesday 4 April with an entertaining, illustrated talk from Dr Dave Allen entitled A Game for Toffs a social history of cricket. Dr Dave Allen is the author of 150 Not Out – A History of Hampshire Cricket Club and Entertain or Perish – a history of Hampshire Cricket.

Tickets for the talk are £3.50 each available from Nigel Gossop of the Bedhampton Historical Collection on 023 9237 5594 or 07793 805157.

The Elms is at 2 Lower Road, Havant, PO9 3LH with plenty of free parking at nearby Bidbury Mead Recreation Ground.
