Have you ever thought that you might like to try the game of Bowls, but not known how to go about it or even felt a little apprehensive about showing your inexperience ? If the answer is YES, then Emsworth Bowling Club is the place for you and will be providing you with an ideal opportunity.
This friendly and welcoming Club is to hold their annual Open Day at their club premises at the (Recreation Ground, Horndean Road) on Saturday 14th May 1.30pm – 4.30pm, when you will be joined by other people trying the game for the first time. (If you are an experienced player and recently moved to the area or looking for a change of club, you will of course also be welcomed as well.)
The Club will provide the necessary shoes equipment (but if you have totally flat shoes then you should bring them with you) no special clothing will be required. There will be plenty of members on hand to meet and greet you and to provide initial instructions and friendly guidance. In addition to bowling the Club also organizes a range of social activities throughout the year.
So why not give it a try and see how you get on, after all nothing ventured, nothing gained but perhaps some new friendships!
If you cannot make the Open Day, subsequent “Taster Sessions” are being held on 4th June and 2nd July (10.00am to 12 noon).
Other coaching sessions on various dates will be available to those who join us.
