AirAces‘From Wing Walker to Fly2Help’ - a talk by Helen Tempest Monday 27th July - 1900 for 1930 hrs

Helen first wing walked at the age of 15 and used to 'bunk' off school to do displays. At 21 she joined Vic Norman's wing walking team, AeroSuperBatics and spent 19 years wing walking with various sponsors at air shows throughout the UK and Europe. The team broke and created various world records; she learned to climb around the aircraft in mid-air and took the team across the sea to China and UAE. In total Helen wing walked for 25 years at over 1000 displays.

Helen now works as the National Air Smiles Day Advisor for fly2help. The charity inspires positive change in people's lives through the wonder of flight. They arrange Air Smiles Days at airfields around the country, for individuals, families and groups with critical or life-limiting illness, disability, poverty, bereavement, abuse and neglect. Each day is centred around a flight in a light aircraft, plus other activities to offer respite and make magical memories of a really special day. www.fly2help.org
