Abseil the iconic ArcelorMittal Orbit Structure

The British Red Cross is looking for daring fundraisers to abseil the Orbit Sculpture.

The charity is assembling a team to abseil the Orbit at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Statford, London, and raise money for its humanitarian work. The ArecelorMittal Orbit stands at 376ft high and is Britain’s tallest sculpture. With views from the top spanning over 20 miles, you can see London landmarks such as The Shard, The Gherkin, Big Ben and Wembley Stadium. The sculpture was designed by Turner Prize winner Sir Anish Kapoor so this is also a fantastic opportunity to see the sculpture up close.

You could be the first to take on this new challenge as the British Red Cross are offering charity places on 17 May 2015. Registration for the event costs just £25 and the target sponsorship is £250.
