Friday 4th November - from 7.30pm to 9.30pm with free entrance - Open meeting at The Meeting Place (Baptist Hall) North Street Westbourne.
We have formed a new committee for the Group with the aim of spreading its scope and making it more available to the local public. To this end we intend to have regular open evenings throughout the winter months to discuss our progress and highlight some of our projects.
The first of these events will be as above. The topic will be "Tools to help the local and family historian". Nigel Peake, Roger Wilding, Jim Clarke, and Nick Rule will each man a table where you can discuss the web sites and software that they use for access to censuses, addresses, family names, old photos and maps, plus the collection at the West Sussex Records Office.
