It’s panto season – oh yes it is…

If you are sitting comfortably then I shall begin my story of a young girl who was tempted to sin.

She was orphaned, lost, sad and alone She swam to an island far from her home Let’s call her Goldilocks for she had no name, and as it turned out she hadn’t much shame. The island was the home of creatures so nice Squirrels, rabbits, foxes and mice. That they didn’t fall out, but if they did then The argument was settled by a bossy old hen. There was one other: a naughty old chap Whose sole delight was to catch in a trap Anybody who is easily led and gets them to shirk.

Their duty to behave and share in the work So he persuades Goldilocks by making a deal She’ll break into the bears’ house to search and to steal. And he’ll make a love potion to make Miss Rabbit fall for him so he can teach her bad habits.

But yes, you‘ve guessed it. It all goes tragic, a cake hits a face, the wrong heart is magicked But worst of all Baby Rabbit is missing So no time for singing and no time for kissing. Time for someone to become a sleuth There’s a good reason it rhymes with truth. But what did happen? You will want to know To find out …. you’ll have to come to the show!
