Horndean Amateur Theatre

16, 17 and 18 May in St George’s Church Hall, Hambledon Road, Waterlooville PO7 7EH.

Harvey by Mary Chase - Elwood P Dowd is an affable man who claims to have a (presumably imaginary) friend called Harvey who is a 6ft tall white rabbit.  Elwood introduces his friend to everyone, much to the embarrassment of his social climbing sister Veta and her daughter Myrtle Mae.  Veta tries to get Elwood committed to a sanatorium which leads to a comedy of errors.

When Elwood returns to the sanatorium looking for his friend, there is finally a chance for the doctor to inject him with a drug which will turn him into a ‘normal’ person – but is this what Veta still wants? Performances start at 7.30pm.  Tickets cost £8 or £5 for under 16s and can be bought at the door or from:  ticketsource.co.uk/HAT
