The Hayling Island Folk and Acoustic Festival

Saturday the 28th and Sunday, the 29th of July. -The weekend will be a series of live music events in multiple locations around the island during day times, along with a mass dance on the Plaza on the Saturday night with a professional ceilidh band, Ceilidh Tree, so, bring your dancing shoes!

There is music happening in 6 different pubs, The Lifeboat, the Olive Leaf, The West Town, The Ferryboat, Lily’s Bar and The Hayling Billy. There are also performances at the British Legion, The Pebble Beach Café on the seafront and even the Hayling Railway station platform!

Music styles will range from traditional folk and Shanty tunes to blues, reggae, rock, Bluegrass, 1960s and contemporary singer songwriters. It is intended to be a truly multi genre live musical extravaganza!

In addition, there will be a separate event during the weekend which is the annual Hayling Island Morris festival bringing a record 5 different Morris sides dancing their way across the island and bringing a feast of colour and traditional tunes to the streets.

So, either way this will be a full fun weekend of free live music and dance for you to enjoy on our beautiful sea side island.
