HSDC’s Distance Learning courses are available to anyone aged 19 and over who would like to study remotely with a particular welcome to those who would like to upskill, who have been furloughed or who have unfortunately been made redundant.
Students in all Level 1 and 2 classes pay nothing and can arrange their study time to fit into their everyday life, although they are asked to complete their learning in 12 weeks. Requirements vary on a course by course basis and participants may enrol on only one course at a time.
Kerry, a Distance Learner who completed her Level 2 Business Administration course, had been made redundant at the beginning of lockdown, “I found this course whilst hunting for a job. I had been rejected for a position as Operations Manager so thought this course might help to open up a few new options for me. I have now got a new job as Store Manager and I start tomorrow!“
