HELP RAISE MONEY FOR QA DEMENTIA PATIENTS

he Fund-raising Team at Queen Alexandra Hospital are looking for members of the local community to raise money for elderly patients suffering from dementia.

Money raised will purchase dementia trolleys for each of the Wards within the Medicine for Older People’s Department at QA.

The trolleys are light and portable and will help provide activities such as sensory items, puzzles, music, arts and crafts, cards and dominoes to frail patients, specifically those with dementia.

Each trolley costs around £280 – 370, plus another £300 to provide specifically-designed, dementia-friendly activities.
