Alderman Ken Smith 1940-2025
Ken was so well known as he walked and later rode his buggy around Havant with his beloved dog Baxter who sadly also passed away recently. A long serving Havant Councillor for Bedhampton, Ken with Hazel his wife served his term as Mayor of Havant in 2012 when they presided over the birth of our newspaper event at Langstone Technology Park - then we were known as PO9 the starting point from which we became ‘Your Postcode’ today.
Ken will be sadly missed by his family and the many friends who stopped for a chat as he frequented his favourite coffee shops in Havant. Rest in peace old friend.
