Emsworth Horticultural Society

Did you become a ‘Lockdown Gardener’ in 2020?

Do you want to improve and learn more? Then why not join the Emsworth Horticultural Society?  Members have access to sustainable gardening supplies at our Distribution Hut and lots of advice from our members, who volunteer there.

We hold monthly talks on Zoom and in March ‘Andrew Duncan Head Gardener and Designer of Arundel Castle’ gave an entertaining and informed talk attended by 78 members. Andrew creates different gardens for all round interest but in spring it is the Tulip Festival visitors come to see. Using a drone to take videos he showed us the amazing labyrinth of 60,000 tulips, all planted with an adapted bulb planter used like a pogo stick.  The Festival was cancelled in 2020 but will be going ahead this year, all tickets bookable online.

Our members also open their gardens exclusively for the E.H.S.  Martin and Hazel Stewart entered and won the E.H.S. Large Garden category.   They also won the Peter Maunder Virtual Garden Competition for Hampshire in 2020.  They are opening their garden to members this year, just another benefit of belonging to EHS.

If you are interested in joining for just £7.00 please visit our website at: www.emsworthhorticulturalsociety.org.uk or email Brenda Abbott at:
