The demand for services from charities and not-for-profit organisation has increased a lot in the past year. With the cost of living and inflation rates remaining high, charities have seen an increased demand in the service they provide, with many charities such as food banks, mental health and financial aid charities, being hit the hardest.

At the same time charities are having to deal with rising costs, changes to the employer national insurance, employee minimum wage and falling donations.

If you are involved with a charity, you will know that public trust is at the heart of the charity sector and the reason why it is bound by more regulatory and compliance requirements than most.

Fundraising trends, challenges and opportunities will be a key topic at this year’s seminar for charities. The free event for charity trustees and staff will provide an opportunity to hear from experienced and knowledgeable speakers. You will gain practical insights on building resilient fundraising strategies, engaging donors effectively and how AI can be a beneficial tool for charities.

Another topic we will cover is the construction of a board of trustees and how to get it right. From identifying the right skills and other requirements that are needed to attracting the right people.

With the rapid rise in Artificial Intelligence tools being utilised in the sector, we have a public speaker that specialises in the benefits that Artificial Intelligence can bring to charities and how this tool can be used in fundraising and marketing strategies.

There will also be a summary of the latest tax and accounting news for charities given by our own charity’s director.

Our annual seminars are very popular and provide an opportunity for those working in the sector to catch up on a number of relevant and topical matters, and to network with other charity representatives. This year’s seminar will be held at the Solent Hotel, Whiteley, PO15 7AJ on Tuesday 20 May 2025 from 4pm to 6.30pm.
