Raise funds for Charity on the Langstone walk 18th May

Working together eleven years ago, three local Lions clubs, Hayling Island , Havant and Portsmouth devised a project which allows charities to raise monies for their funds. Last year we estimated it raised £25,000. What better way is there than to spend a pleasant early summer morning walking with friends around a harbour full of interesting bird life in the peace and quiet. This is how monies were raised, sponsoring the walk.

The Lions clubs have seven stations manned around the 13mile walk.

Sponsored individuals or groups may walk clockwise or anticlockwise between the stations and have passports which are credited with each set of mileage. These are stamped and eventually signed allowing the sponsors to pay accordingly. The check points open at 9am and close at 4pm. You may register on the day at any checkpoint or pre-register by phoning Rod Elliott on 023 9246 3491 Further information is to be found on www.haylinglions.org.uk/langstonewalk
