Panto at the Station Theatre

Panto at Station Theatre Hayling IslandPanto time is here again – oh yes it is!

The Station Theatre on Hayling Island is showing Jack and the Beanstalk a traditional pantomime written by renowned author Alan P Frayn. It runs from Saturday 10th January to Saturday 17th January 7:30pm, (plus 2:30pm matinees on both Saturdays).

Tickets are £8 for adults, and £6 for children and are available from the box office on 023 9246 6363 open Monday to Saturday from 10.00am to noon or online at www.hiads.org.uk.

This a hilarious take on the well known fairy story featuring gregarious Dame Dotty Dimple, her brave and bright son Jack, his daft brother Simple Simon and their cow Buttermilk. Plus a royal family comprised of dithering King Hubert, Queen Hyacinth, their lovely daughter Princess Primrose and their slow equerry Humphrey.

They all live in fear of the giant Buster Gut-bucket, who is assisted by the wicked witch Picalilli, his henchman Rancid the Ratman and a pair of bungling bailiffs Snatchet & Scarper.

Battling the forces of evil and helping the villages is the good fairy Sugardust, plus a chorus of singers and dancers. And then, of course, there are the magic beans which grow into a giant beanstalk leading up to the giants castle in the sky!
