SOUTH HANTS JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL CLUB

Volleyball is an energetic and dynamic sport, played the world over and has featured as a sport in Postcode Publications on many occasions. It can be played indoors, outdoors, standing, sitting, from 2 up to 6 a side, single sex or mixed. It can be a great sport for all the family. It can be an elite demanding sport but the main thing about volleyball is that the people who play at any level have great fun, make friends and keep fit.

South Hants Junior Volleyball Club is a recently formed club for youngsters (boys and girls) aged between 10 and 18, whether they have played volleyball before or not. The club was established in September 2014 and was featured in an article in the November/December 2014 edition of PO9 & PO11. Since then the Club has been going from strength to strength and its doors are still open to any youngsters wishing to play volleyball.

Club sessions are held in the Sports Hall at Horndean Technology College in Barton Cross, Waterlooville, PO8 9PQ, on Saturdays mornings during school term time from 1030 - 1230. The Club would like to see new juniors coming along and joining in the fun sessions. The first 4 sessions are free with this article and then after that it costs just £2 per 2 hour session. After 10 sessions new members receive a free club T-shirt.

The club is run by fully qualified coaches, registered with the National Governing Body, Volleyball England and has full public liability insurance. The safety of the juniors is paramount and the Club fulfils all requirements in terms of safe guarding children and young adults. Sessions are fun, active, sociable, competitive, healthy and aspirational. Juniors are invited to go along, maybe with a friend, and have a go.
