Purbrook Cricket Club’s John Howard has told Postcode Publications that the Club would like to hear from parents with children under 9 years of age and interested in playing cricket as the Club needs youngsters to join its U9 squad. The Colts currently train every Wednesday in the sports hall at Oaklands School in Stakes Hill Road, Waterlooville, from 6-7pm. Prospective new members in this age group are invited to go along, join in and have some fun.
Purbrook Cricket Club is based at the picturesque Purbrook Heath. It runs 3 Saturday sides, 1st XI in Hampshire League County 1, 2nd XI in Hampshire League County 3 South and 3rd XI in Hampshire League. The Club also runs a Sunday side for all ages and abilities, that plays friendly matches.
There is a thriving Colt section with teams in the leagues for age groups Under 9, Under 11, Under 13 & Under 15.
