Safety first as housebuilder helps pond clean-up

Local housebuilder David Wilson Homes stepped in at the last minute to help staff and parents with their pond clean-up project in Clanfield. Stuart Goodwill from David Wilson Homes said the PTA at Petersgate Infant School had volunteers ready to clear the pond area but urgently needed a skip to remove all the garden rubbish. “We are always keen to help communities in which we are building and this was a great project to support, we only had a day’s notice but we managed to call in a favour and get the skip there in time’’ said Stuart. Julie Fehr from the PTA said the volunteers had a successful day clearing the area in and around the school pond. “The skip was invaluable in helping us remove the garden rubbish from site and the pond area is now a safe environment for the children to use,’’ she said.
