HAYLING SUNSHINE

Frank Pearce 1st April report

Now the summer is approaching we have some serious complaints that the residents of North Hayling do not receive enough sunshine, it all went to the south. As most Islanders are aware Hayling is built on an axle, so early this morning with the help of 3,000 residents who lined the beach at sunrise we gently pushed the Island around, and with the help of 7 tugs from HM Dockyard Portsmouth the operation was a success. Now the northern part is facing the sun, unfortunately we are still working on the bridge. It's only a small jump.
