Postcode Publications supporting less fortunate people this winter

Postcode Publications are supporting less fortunate people this winter

Thanks to funds raised from our supporters and advertisers, Postcode Publications were able to donate £2,500 to help less fortunate people this winter – to provide immediate help and assistance to rough sleepers and people in dire need.

Every pound of the funds will be used to supply sleeping bags, tents, and ‘emergency rucksacks’ (containing essentials such as warm socks, dry clothes, a torch, gloves, and basic foodstuffs). These will be given on request to deserving people in most desperate need (following an assessment of their circumstances by The Havant Homeless Trust). The Beacon Coffee Shop, in the Meridian shopping centre, the United Reformed Church in North Street, Havant and St Faith’s Church are all access-points for such help.

The Havant Homeless Trust is currently concluding legal work necessary to become an independent Charity. In the meantime, donations for their vital work can be made to the Rector’s Christmas Appeal, via the Parish Office (2 North Street), Tuesday to Friday mornings, or online any time by using the donate buttons on the front page of the parish website: www.stfaith.com

Such donations are made possible by our corporate supporters and advertisers, so please support them in turn so that we can continue with this importatnt community work - not just talking about it, doing it!
